April 16th                  

“Spring Fest 2019 – A Festival of Color”


Spring Fest will be a celebration of Spring and the bounty of our Valley. The event will invite people to participate (weather permitting) in a “Celebration of Colors” a Hindu Holi Celebration, where brightly colored (cornstarch based powders) are tossed in the air and cover the participants in a rainbow of colors. A live concert will also take place featuring Amanda Duran.  


May 28th            

“The Fresno Garlic Festival”


The Fresno Garlic Festival will highlight all things GARLIC!  Prior to the event, CFFMA will conduct a PR campaign proclaiming Fresno as the “Garlic Capital of the World” as more Garlic is grown in Fresno County than any other county in the United States.  The event will feature garlic ice cream (yes, it’s a thing!) roasted garlic, garlic tacos, garlic breads, garlic spice rubs, dips, cheeses, and so much more!

June 18th                  

“The Great Strawberry Festival”

The “Great Strawberry Festival” will feature this delicious abundant fruit.  Vendors will feature items in the market made with strawberries, including; Chocolate dipped strawberries (FREE to the first 100) strawberry jams, pies, funnel cakes, breads, cupcakes, boba smoothies, and more.  Everyone that attends will be offered a FREE strawberry. A special children’s culinary class will be conducted showing children all of the ways to use this amazing fruit.

July 23rd                   

“Peach Palooza”


The “Peach Palooza” is a celebration of the nearly 20 varieties of peaches grown in Central California.  Food vendors will feature special peach creations.  The public will be invited to enter a Peach Pie Competition, with the winner receiving a $100 prize. Judges will include local baking experts, Fresno Bee Food Editor, and two local celebrity chefs.  The first 100 people to the event will receive a free fresh peach.

August 20th             

The "Fig Celebration"


The “Fig Celebration” will focus on the 4 main varieties of California figs grown here in the valley.  California is the Fig capital of the world.  Fig growers, processors and food manufacturers will sell their goods.  Vendors will all feature fresh and dried figs in their offerings.

September 3rd        

“Family Fest - A Day For Kids”


“Family Fest” will focus on the family and providing a fun afternoon event for them to come together.  A family picnic will be promoted encouraging families to bring a blanket and enjoy a picnic in the center courtyard. Parent Magazine will be the promotional partner for this fun-filled event.  Picnic blankets will be provided free by AAA.  The Kids Corner will feature free bounce houses, face painting, and family cooking classes.

October 29th            

"Salsa Fest 2019”


“Salsa Fest” will feature a county-wide salsa recipe competition, promoted by the Fresno Bee and area media.  Salsa recipes will be judged by Bobby Salazar, members of the Fresno Fire Department, the Mayor and guest chefs.  A special category will allow area restaurants to also compete.  This market will also feature Salsa music and dancing.  Free salsa dancing classes will be offered. Children will be able to learn how to make fresh salsa at a special chef demonstration.

November 26th       

“Fall Festival”


The Fall Festival will focus on the change of seasons and the fall bounty of our valley.  Vendors will be focusing on the upcoming holidays and will promote entertaining, gift giving and use of valley produce in their family celebrations.  A special focus on dried fruits and nuts and the fall harvest of grapes. Attendees will be invited to enter a raffle for a Fall Bounty Basket containing more than $100 in produce and other items from the market.

 December 10th        

“Holiday Marketplace”

This event will celebrate the holidays and will feature a Holiday Craft and Gift Fair featuring local artists, crafters, and baked goods from more than 30 artisan bakers and 50 local crafters and artists.  Mrs. Claus will make a special appearance and invite children to enjoy a free baked cookie and milk as she reads The Night Before Christmas.


December 17th        

“Season’s Eatings”

This annual food festival will feature a plethora of delicious holiday foods from many cultures, including Mexican, Filipino, French, Jewish, Middle Eastern, Indian, Japanese, Chinese and Hmong.  Local artisan bakers will also be featured as well as the Market’s artisan chefs.  Santa will make a special appearance and will hand out free candy to children.  The event will also feature area choirs to sing carols and perform holiday favorites. Free hot chocolate will be provided to all that attend.
